So… What are we doing here?

We are playing a LARP (see below). Seekers quest is an interactive theater experience that engages the imaginations of players and allows them an opportunity to make their hero fantasy come alive. Players can either join us at the park for our module days that tell a living story from week to week, or book a birthday party tailored directly for the birthday kid.

What is a Seeker?

We live in a world that is filled with magic, but only a Seeker can see it. In our story, when people become adults, they lose the ability to see the magic in the world. Our world is constantly being visited by creatures from magical worlds that are connected to ours by randomly occuring, magical portals. Seekers are kids who see the magic in the world and are able to protect us from the worst of it.

Where does the Quest take place?

We play pretty much anywhere that isn’t crowded with breakable stuff. Most of our games are played at the park but we are flexible enough to fit into most settings. It’s also a great way to get outside in the dead of winter! Puffy coats count as armor.

Why Seeker’s Quest?

Because video games. I am a big video game guy myself and I think we can all agree that they aren’t the best for your physical or mental wellbeing. When we factor in the effects that covid has had on our kids’ ability to socialize it is clear that kids need an alternative to screens. Seeker’s Quest works to directly address those issues by offering a fun, physically active game that requires social interaction and teamwork to complete. The story will evolve every time a child plays so the friend kids make at game one may become friends they have for a long time.

What is LARP?

Live Action Roleplaying Games or LARP, evolved from games like Dungeons and Dragons in the eighties. Instead of sitting at a table and creating a story in the minds eye, LARPers will gather at at a predetermined site where they actually dress up as their characters and immerse themselves in the worlds that the game masters create. They live the adventure, solving puzzles, fighting bad guys with padded weapons, and, hopefully, feel like they have stepped into another world while they are there.
